Intraoral Camera

Dentist using intraoral camera to capture smile images

Our intraoral camera lets us take a close look at the hard-to-reach areas of your mouth by capturing high-resolution images with a small, camera-tipped wand. Not only can our dentists diagnose potential problems much earlier this way, but you can also see for yourself exactly what they’re talking about since the images are displayed on a monitor right next to you. As a result, we can provide more accurate and effective care while you gain a more thorough understanding of your oral health.

Digital X-Rays

Taking X-rays is an essential part of every exam, as they allow our team to see below the gums and potentially find problems that could be hidden from the naked eye. Rather than relying on old and slow film, we use 100% digital X-rays, which create extremely clear images in a fraction of the time while exposing patients (and us!) to 90% less radiation. Also, the images can be instantly displayed on a monitor right next to your chair after capturing them so we can give you a “backstage” tour of your smile.

Sirona PrimeScan Intraoral Scanner

Dentist capturing bite impressions with the Sirona Prime scan intraoral scanner

The first step of many treatments is to take an impression of a patient’s bite, and in the past, this involved them biting into a mold filled with messy dental putty. Fortunately, we can now take a more sophisticated approach. With our intraoral scanner, we can create a highly detailed digital model of the teeth and bite in a matter of minutes. This process is not only faster and more comfortable than the old way, but more consistent as well, meaning we don’t have to waste time on retakes.
