How Your Smile Naturally Changes Over Time

As we age, our teeth and gums go through a series of natural changes that can gradually affect how our smile looks and feels. Years of chewing, grinding, and everyday use can lead to enamel wear, making teeth appear shorter or more flattened than they once were. At the same time, enamel naturally thins over time, which can make teeth look less bright or slightly more yellow underneath the surface.

You may also notice that your teeth don’t look quite as aligned as they used to. Subtle shifting can occur over the years, especially if there has been tooth loss or changes in bite pressure. Even the gums can change, sometimes receding slightly and exposing more of the tooth structure.

While these changes are completely normal, they can leave some people feeling less confident in their smile.
