Dr. Andrew Hale

Dr. Hale says that he never tires of helping people get out of pain. One of the best aspects of dentistry is that he can often solve people’s problems in relatively little time, and he always enjoys seeing the relief in someone’s eyes after he’s stopped a persistent toothache or fixed a longstanding cavity. Of course, he’s able to do much, much more for his dental patients thanks to extensive training, and you can learn more about this and his background by reading on below.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Hale’s father is a dentist as well, but growing up, Dr. Hale wasn’t ready to commit to dentistry based solely on family history. What changed his mind was a medical humanitarian trip he went on while in college, during which he spent most of his time assisting a dentist. He says that he was hooked immediately, and when he got home, he knew which direction he wanted to take.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Hale earned his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University (the same school his father attended), and this was followed by serving as an active duty dental officer in the USAF for three years. He then practiced in the El Paso, TX area before making his way to Vermont.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Hale has taken over 300 hours of continuing education, including courses on dental implants, complex extractions, PRF/PRP therapy, IV sedation, and digital dentistry. He also stays up to date on the latest findings in dentistry through his membership in the American Dental Association.

Dr. Hale is married with three children, and when he isn’t spending time with family, he likes to read and study history (particularly the American Civil War) and watch Premier League Soccer. He’s also trying to get better at cooking, so be sure to ask about the last interesting dish he made when you come to see us!
