1. It Causes Bad Breath<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Periodontal disease (the clinical term for gum disease) spreads through bacterial infection. Plaque that forms a sticky film on your pearly whites can slip into the pockets between your teeth and gums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it\u2019s left sitting for a while it releases scores of bacteria. This bacterium releases sulfuric compounds over time and can make your breath smell like rot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
